After their first win, Rajasthan Royals are now leading IPL 2020 points table. It is their brilliant Net Run Rate that helped them top the table over Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals have also played only one match so far with a 100% success rate like the Royals. Rajasthan Royals began their campaign today against Chennai Super Kings and ended their first match on a winning note. Thanks to the captain Steve Smith and Sanju Samson, the Royals set a daunting target of 217 for the CSK camp. The target was tough to chase for any team. Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni put their effort which was not enough considering the required run rate after a point. The Royals eventually won the match against the CSK by 16 runs.
Now their NRR is +800 which is a lot more than the second team in the table – Royal Challengers Bangalore (+500). No wonder Rajasthan Royals are enjoying the top place of the IPL 2020 points table at present. Chennai Super Kings with one win and one loss are now at fifth place. Kolkata Knight Riders will join the run after their opening encounter on September 23.
