As we predicted yesterday, a win for Mumbai Indians could work for them magically. This is exactly what happened. Kings XI Punjab was the only team having a better Net Run Rate than Mumbai Indians. Hence, today after thrashing the Punjab side by 48 runs, the defending champions claimed the top of the IPL 2020 points table.
Kings XI Punjab is now ranked at 6th placed followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings at 7th and 8th. Apart from Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab, all the IPL teams have played three games so far. Delhi Capitals are the 2nd placed team in the chart followed by Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the next three places.
