Mumbai Indians last year champions and one of the most successful teams of IP have retained 18 players. They boast of a very strong team with some of the world’s best cricketers of T20 cricket like captain Rohit Sharma, Bumrah, Quinton de Kock and Trent Boult. They have released 10 players and can take 7 players ( 5 Indians and 2 overseas) from the IPL auction 2020. Also, they have a total of 13.05 cr to spent.
Mumbai Indians already have a very strong squad and will look for stability in their team. They will look for a few backups and fill some of the gaps. They might target Piyush Chawla, Shimron Hetmyer, Colin de Grandhomme.
Chennai Super Kings retained 20 players. They have released 6 players and they can take 5 players (3 Indians and 2 overseas) from the IPL auction. Also, they have a total of 14.60 cr to spent.
CSK is the most successful team in the IPL with a win percentage of 61.28%. Some of their biggest stars like MS Dhoni, Shane Watson, and Imran Tahir have only one or two seasons left in their long careers. CSK management should look to fill these potential gaps during the auction. They might target Aaron Finch, Alzarre Joseph, and Hayden Walsh Jr.

Despite one of the most glamorous teams in IPL, the KXIP could never deliver as per their true potential. Rajasthan Royals started their IPL journey in 2008 in a grand way by winning the trophy. Since then their performance has seen many ups and downs including a two-year ban but they could never reach the heights of that 2008 season. They finished IPL 2019 in the 7th position and will look to make some improvements in their squad during the auction on 19th December. They might target Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stonis, and Alzarri Joseph.
Delhi Capitals retained 14 players. They have released 9 players and they can take 11 players (6 Indians and 5 overseas) from the IPL auction. Also, they have a total of 27.85 cr to spent.
Delhi Capitals announced a name change before IPL 2019 and that brought some luck for them as they qualified for the play-offs first time after seven seasons. After trading in Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin, they now boast of a great line-up including Dhawan, Shaw, Rahane, Iyer, Pant, Ashwin, Sharma, and Rabada.
