In a dramatic IPL 2023 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) upset Gujarat Titans thanks to five sixes from Rinku Singh in the final over. With 29 needed off the final over, Rinku attacked Yash Dayal with a string of five sixes.
With his outstanding final over drama at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Rinku Singh, a youngster for KKR, stole the show for his team. In addition to receiving accolades from his teammates and other cricketers present at the stadium, a number of other cricketers also spoke highly of the KKR star boy.
Shreyas Iyer jumps in joy
Shreyas Iyer, the usual captain of KKR, is not competing in the IPL 2023 but was spotted watching the game from the sidelines. Iyer is seen in a viral video celebrating his team’s victory over Gujarat Titans. Iyer can be seen bouncing in excitement after Rinku Singh destroyed Yash Dayal for 31 runs in the final over. Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Shreyas Iyer shared his reaction video on social media as he was seen celebrating KKR’s victory at home.Â
He later talked to Rinku Singh on a video call and also congratulated the batter for his outstanding knock. Shreyas was chanting “Rinku Bhaiiya Zindabad” as he hailed the UP Batter for his outstanding knock.
Even though Venkatesh Iyer scored 83 runs in 40 balls, his team was in a spot of bother in the last 4 overs.

Yet as KKR snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, Rinku reserved his best for the final over. In an IPL 2023 encounter at Ahmedabad, Vijay Shankar, and Sai Sudharsan each scored fifty runs to lead Gujarat Titans to 204/4 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Sudarshan got 53 off 38 balls to keep GT going in the middle over while Shankar hit an undefeated 63 off 24 balls.
Due to a back injury, Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer will miss the World Test Championship (WTC) final in June 2023 as well as the Indian Premier League (IPL).
