Aiden Markram, the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, demonstrated his amazing fielding abilities on Thursday during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by taking an outstanding catch off his own bowling.

Markram dismissed his opposite skipper with a stunning catch in the field off his own bowling. The event happened in the 12th over of the Kolkata innings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where the South African dismissed Nitish Rana of the Knight Riders for 42 to end the reliable fourth-wicket stand.

The catch

Rana, who provided Kolkata with a 61-run partnership with Rinku Singh to help them recover from a rocky start, got a thick top edge while attempting a slog-sweep with the ball travelling towards the open mid-on area. Markram, who was delivering his third over, ultimately ran in the opposite direction and made one of the best catches of the year so far. He had his eyes constantly on the ball as he kept running and dived to complete a stunning catch.
