Instead, the Royals have named Adam Zampa and Jason Holder as their impact substitutes, and depending on how the pitch plays, either of them could be brought into the game later. Boult’s absence could be a significant blow to the Royals, as he has been one of their most consistent performers in the tournament so far.
On the other hand, the Royals have a surprise addition to their playing XI in the form of England’s former Test captain, Joe Root. The right-handed batsman will be making his IPL debut tonight, and his inclusion is expected to bolster the Royals’ batting lineup, which has been struggling in the tournament so far.

We would’ve wanted to play better standard of cricket. We’ve had hard and honest chats. Would like to come back stronger. Few injury issues in the team. Joe Root makes his debut.”, Samson said after winning the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad. As the game gets underway, all eyes will be on Joe Root as to how he’ll perform.
