In a stunning turn of events, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) have left fans in awe and opponents scratching their heads as they made a strategic decision to exclude their leading pacer, Trent Boult, from the Playing XI for their clash against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today at the iconic Sawai Mansingh Stadium. RR captain Faf du Plessis, after winning the toss, elected to bat first on a pitch expected to favor spinners, which led to this tactical twist.
Why is Trent Boult not playing today?
Boult, who has been an integral part of RR’s campaign this season, has wreaked havoc on opposition batsmen with his fiery pace, claiming an impressive 12 wickets in just 9 matches at an economy rate of 8.15. There are a few niggles that players carry through the tournament, but the support staff have done a good job managing that.
