The finisher Dinesh Karthik changed the match situation completely midway and went on to win it for his new team, Royal Challenegrs Bangalore against rajasthan Royals. The Royals had a fine contest with match being controlled by both teams time to time. Royal Challengers Bangalore, chasing 170 suddenly lost a couple of quick wickets in the middle and the match went in favour of Rajasthan Royals. But Karthik, who is in great form played a brilliant knock along with Shahbaz Ahmed to take RCB to the finishing line. With this win, Bangalore moved up to sixth place and Rajasthan manage to stay at top but with four points from three matches. KKR, GT, and PK are the next teams in the top four at present while LSG, DC, MI, CSK, and SRH stand at fifth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth places respectively.
An unbeaten 47-ball 70 by Jos Buttler helped Rajasthan Royals set a target of 170 for Royal Challengers Bangalore despite losing initial wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal followed by two quick wickets in the middle. It was his efforts at the death that RR could set a competitive target. Buttler is current holder of the Orange Cap followed by Ishan Kishan, Faf du Plessis, Deepak Hooda, Simron Hetmyer in the top five. Faf du Plessis scored 29 off 20 yesterday as Hetmyer remained not out with 42 and built the perfect partnership with Buttler at the end.
