In their previous match against Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings made one change to their playing XI. Instead of Murugan Ashwin, they brought in Jalaj Saxena. The off-spinner didn’t have a great game as he conceded 27 runs in 3 overs. However, he might retain his place for at least one more game.

Nicholas Pooran has had 3 failures so far. There have been high expectations from the talented left-hander. But he has failed to deliver. Therefore, the franchise might want to bring in the current No.1-ranked T20 batsman in the world – Dawid Malan.

SRH needs to sort out the issues with the middle order. After the top order, the batsmen just haven’t been able to capitalise on the platform. The demands to bring in Kane Williamson have increased. If he is fit for this game, he could come in straight away.

That would mean Mujeeb Ur Rahman might have to make way for him. But for that to happen, they would need to make another change. An Indian spinner like Shahabaz Nadeem needs to come in and Virat Singh would have to miss out.
