On Wednesday, the Indian cricket board announced the auction date for the Indian Premier League 2021. It will be held on February 18 in Chennai, just a day after India’s second Test against England.

The BBCI announced that the auction for the league will be held on February 18 in Chennai, the same city that would host India’s second Test against England. Players up for auction
Teams are allowed a maximum of 25 players on their rosters. Royal Challengers Bangalore (13), Kings XI Punjab (9), Rajasthan Royals (8) and Kolkata Knight Riders (8) are the teams with the highest number of slots to fill. The Punjab side have the biggest purse (₹53.2 crore) while Delhi Capitals have the lowest (₹9 crore).
