Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first in their third match against Hyderabad. Warner, while speaking about it after the toss said, “Not sure whether we would have batted first (because it’s a tough pitch to read). All four wickets here look exactly the same so I’m not really sure. We know what we’ve gotta do.” He informed, “We’ve made four changes. You’ll see soon on the team sheet.”
Sunrisers Hyderabad excluded Wriddhiman Saha, Jason Holder, T Natarajan, and Shahbaz Nadeem from this match in Chennai. They took Khaleel Ahmed, Abhishek Sharma, Virat Singh, and Mujeeb ur Rahman in the playing XI.
T Natarajan was replaced by Khaleel Ahmed in the Hyderabad side for today’s match against Mumbai Indians. This comes as a surprise to fans and experts and Natarajan seemed to be irreplaceable after his showings since his debut. However it has been confirmed by Tom Moody that Natarajan is not a part because of workload.
“Not dropped, rested – Managing his workload, we know it’s a long tournament and he’s had quite a lot of cricket already under his belt”, said Tom Moody, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s team director, on T Natarajan.
