IPL 2021: David Warner to Become First SRH Player to Complete 4000 Runs

David Warner must be eying the IPL 2021. While he would be eager to do well as the Sunrisers Hyderabad captain, he must be looking to achieve some individual records as well.

Warner Set for Recording New Feats

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been one of the most balanced franchises in the Indian Premier League. They have maintained low-profile but always focused on the core. Last year saw them quite suprisingly making it to the playoffs under David Warner. While they would be looking for second IPL title, Warner would be eyeing some personal records.

Warner could become first overseas player with 6000 IPL runs. The most successful overseas IPL player Warner is also the third highest-run scorer. Warner is also set to complete 4000 runs for the Hyderabad based side. Warner has accumulated 3819 runs for the Orange Army thus far and become the first player to record 4000 runs as a SRH player. He has represented Hyderabad in 87 games so far. He has all the potential to become the first to complete 100 appearances for the SRH.

Warner has represented two IPL franchises; Delhi Capitals and SRH in the history of the league till date. However, it is the Hyderabad side that has helped him flourish.

Currently he has 5254 runs from 142 matches at an amazing average of 42.71 with four centuries and 48 fifties. In 2016 when Sunrisers Hyderabad won their maiden IPL title, he scored 848 runs.

David Warner has the most number of half-centuries in Indian Premier League. So in all likelihood, he can be the first player to record 50 IPL 50s. Moreover, Warner is also just five maximums away from recording 200 sixes in the tournament. Eight more IPL matches and he will also complete featuring in 150 IPL games. So far, Only AB de Villiers, Kieron Pollard,and Shane Watson have played more games than Warner among overseas players.
