After various permutations and combinations over the last few years, it looks like they finally found a near-perfect combination and are expected to deliver another strong performance in UAE during IPL 2020. Overseas Stars

The Capitals have a good mix of Indian and Overseas stars. Although two of their first-choice stars in Jason Roy and Chris Woakes have withdrawn already and are replaced by two more seam bowling options in Anrich Nortje and Daniel Sams. Kagiso Rabada will be their first-choice overseas player and expected to deliver both at the powerplay and death. Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul, both will come from a successful CPL and will be key members in the squad. In other years, Sandeep Lamichhane did not get featured regularly but this time after a good CPL, where he got more than 10 wickets, can be a regular in this Capital’s outfit especially considering the conditions in UAE.

Indian Key Players

Delhi Capitals has a strong Indian contingent. At the top of the order, they have four regular Indian stars to pick from which includes Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, and Ajinkya Rahane. Rishabh Pant is a match-winner and will look to prove his credentials once again to stake his claim for the Indian national team. Their acquisition of Ravichandra Ashwin from Kings XI Punjab is an important one. The Indian off-spinner will be a key part of the leadership team apart from adding value as one of the best off-spinners in the world. They have another experienced campaigner in Ishant Sharma who will depend on his variations in the slightly lesser helpful conditions of UAE.
