There have been decisions takes by Kolkata Knight Riders management that have not gone well with fans and experts so far. The captain of Kolkata Knight Riders has been criticized a lot by the fraternity. Now S Sreesanth comes up with a replacement in place of Dinesh Karthik for KKR captaincy.
Sreesanth wants Morgan as KKR captain
S Sreesanth feels that Eoin Morgan, the limited-overs captain of England cricket team should be the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders. Fans echo the thought
In the match against Delhi Capitals, Eoin Morgan came into bat at number six when Karthik came ahead of him. The skipper although could add just six runs, whereas Morgan was dismissed for 44 by Anrich Nortje. When Morgan was sent to bat KKR still needed 112 runs from 43 balls and Morgan got involved in a 78-run stand with Rahul Tripathi. So, a lot of people feel that Morgan, if came earlier could have changed the fate of Kolkata Knight Riders in the match. Dinesh Karthik, so far has played four matches and scored a total 37 runs.
It was also surprising how the Riders sent Rahul Tripathi to bat at No. 8 who is specialised batsman. Sunil Narine has been a huge failure as opener for KKR this season. All these reasons have made fans furious and even they want Morgan to lead KKR. Aatif Nawaz wrote, “With all due respect to Dinesh Karthik, Eion Morgan should really be the captain of KKR. He’s only won a World Cup…probably knows a thing or two about captaincy. And while we’re at it he should really be batting at 3/4.
