IPL 2020: CSK to Send Players in Charteredplanes

The IPL franchises have started charting out the final plan for IPL 2020. Reportedly Chennai Super Kings have started planning on sending their players in chartered planes considering coronavirus situation.

CSK begin planning for IPL 2020

As per the reports, the Chennai based IPL franchises Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be sending MS Dhoni and his men to Dubai in chartered planes. This will be done as a prevention to protect the players from the current COVID-19 situation in the country. The Insidesport also claimed that the CSK are planning to assemble their players in Dubai for training by August 08 so that the training sessions can be started by the end of August second week.
“We are targeting to leave for Dubai with the entire squad by 8th Aug so that training camp can be organized for them before the end of 2nd week. Travel plans will be finalized once we receive instructions from BCCI on Do’s and Don’t”, the report on Insidesport quoted a CSK insider as saying. The source further added, “In the circumstances, we are in, we will explore to book a chartered flight for the team. That will be the safest option in the current conditions.”

Dhoni to be seen in CSK camp again

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be seen for the second time in the CSK training camp this year. He began a session in the initial days of March this year as the IPL 2020 was scheduled to be run from March 29. Now the league will be played from September 19 in Dubai and a minimum three-week of training camp is what the franchises are looking at. Reportedly there will be a separate camp for centrally contracted players by the BCCI. Other Indian cricketers, overseas players will join the activities at their respecting IPL franchise camps.

The BCCI is about to send the SOP to the franchises. An IPL Governing Council meeting is to be held on August 02 after which clarifications of everything are expected to be disseminated.
