Injured Jasprit Bumrah promises to make a strong comeback

Jasprit Bumrah, the speed star of Indian National Cricket Team will not be able to play Test series against South Africa following an injury. But he took to Twitter to assure his fans that he would definitely make a comeback.

The back story

On Tuesday, the BCCI informed that Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the Test series against South Africa at home. They explained that during the routine radiological screening a minor injury was revealed to Bumrah’s lower back which looked like concerning enough and he was dropped from the upcoming Test series. According to the media release of the board, Bumrah He will now have to undergo rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. The BCCI medical team will constantly monitor the fast bowler and will have a check on his progress. Bumrah who has taken 62 wickets in 12 Test matches has not played any Test at home yet.

Umesh Yadav is the replacement for Bumrah in three-match test series against the Proteas starting on October 2. In 41 Tests so far, Umesh has scalped 119 wickets at an averaging of 33.47.

Bumrah assures

After the news of Bumrah’s injury, the fans became concerned and wished a speedy recovery at the soonest. The ace bowler and Virat Kohli’s main weapon took to his social media account and shared his feelings. He showed his gratitude and thanked his fans for all the care and love. He wrote, “Injuries are part & parcel of the sport. Thank you for all your recovery wishes. My head is held high & I am aiming for a comeback that’s stronger than the setback.”
The three-match Test series will begin on October 2 in Visakhapatnam followed by second Test starting on October 10 in Pune, and third and final Test starting on October 19 in Ranchi. South Africa will begin their World Test Championship journey with this series Whereas India will look for accumulating more points to continue to lead the table.
