Indian National Cricket Team to Fly for Australia Immediately After IPL 2020

The Indian national cricket team tour of Australia reportedly has been tentatively finalized. The series is all set to begin with a T20 series and as per a BCCI source’s confirmation to InsideSport, both boards have agreed to the same.

Reportedly, Indian national cricket team will start their tour of Australia on 27th November. Cricket Australia (CA) and the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) have finalized the tentative schedule. According to a source, both have agreed to start the tour with a T20I series followed by three ODIS and four Test matches. Whereas the ODI series in all probability going to begin from 4th December, the Test series will start from 17th December. These are as mentioned above tentative dates and Cricket Australia is waiting for final approval from the Queensland government over bio-security issues because Indian national cricket team is set to quarantine in the northern state.

Sunil Joshi led selection panel will select a squad for the tour Down Under by next week. The selection committee is going to give 25-26 probable names for the tour. Once those are finalized, Cricket Australia will proceed accordingly and hence is waiting for the details from the BCCI at the earliest.

Indian national cricket team will fly for Australia in two batches, as per the reports. The first batch will leave from Dubai on November 4 and the second batch will consist of players staying to play the IPL 2020 playoffs. They will leave once the IPL 2020 gets over- on November 12th or 13th. The Indian cricket board is going to send Indian national cricket team in chartered fights from Dubai to Australia.

The members of India’s touring party, including coaching staff, support staff and players not taking part in Indian Premiere League like Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari, are likely to leave for the United Arab Emirates in the last week of October.
