Indian Air Force, on Tuesday, took a major action by destroying the terrorist facilities at Balakot in the POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). At around 3:30 AM, 12 Mirage fighter planes struck terrorist camps across the border. They dropped 1000 KG of bombs and destroyed the camps that belonged to the terrorist unit Jaish-e-Mohammed.

The whole of the country was fuming after the same terrorist organization had attacked the Indian CRPF soldiers in Pulwama. More than 40 soldiers were martyred in that attack. 12 days later, India struck back. However, the Government is not terming it as a revenge for the Pulwama attack. Rather, they mention it was a preemptive action to prevent attacks.

While the nation was on its feet to salute the Indian Air Force, the Indian cricketers also expressed their tribute. Big names like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir and others took to Twitter to salute the Indian Air Force for the bravery.

India-Pakistan World Cup clash in jeopardy

After the infamous Pulwama attack, there have been dark clouds over India’s game against Pakistan in the upcoming World Cup. The two teams are scheduled to go head to head on June 16, 2019, at the Old Trafford, Manchester. The fans in India have demanded the team to boycott the game.

The bilateral cricketing ties between the two nations are already in the darkness. They only take on each other in ICC events or the Asia Cup. It’s in the hands of the Government and the BCCI to decide whether the team would play the Pakistan game in the World Cup or not.
