Another heartbreak for Indian fans. The wait for the World Cup trophy continues for another long four years. After an exceptional performance throughout the tournament, India failed to conquer in the last clash. Australia’s excellence in every department has taken the game away from the Indian squad. They became the world champion for the sixth time. After that heartbreaking defeat, Ravichandran Ashwin shared his feelings and congratulated the Aussies.
Ravichandran Ashwin’s Words:
1.4 Billion fans got heartbroken last night. The Australian squad was unstoppable last night. They just dominated India throughout the game. India entered into the finals being unbeaten. They were in a great rhythm. They started the campaign by defeating Australia. In the last match, they ended the tournament being the runner-up after being defeated by Australia.
Ravichandran Ashwin is a legend of the Indian spin bowling unit. He has years of experience playing for India. When India won the World Cup in 2011, Ashwin was there in that team. After that heartbreaking defeat, he expressed his feelings and congratulated Australia for their sixth World Cup win. On his social media handle, he wrote, “ Mighty mighty heartbreak last night. Everyone in the team had several days to remember during this campaign and special mentions to @imVkohli @ MdShami11 @ImRo45 and @Jaspritbumrah93. However, I can’t help but applaud the giants of modern-day cricket ‘Australia’. What they did on the field yesterday was just unbelievable. Congrats on their 6th World Cup win.”
Australia again conquered the big stage. They became the world champion for the sixth time. In the final match against India, they were just outstanding.
