Hilton Moreeng has been appointed as the new head coach for both the senior and Under-19 women’s cricket teams of the USA. Moreeng, who previously served as the head coach of South Africa‘s women’s team for over 11 years, takes over from Shivnarine Chanderpaul, whose contract ended in 2023.
Moreeng’s Stellar Track Record
During his tenure with South Africa, Moreeng led the team to significant achievements, including two ODI World Cup semi-finals and two T20 World Cup semi-finals. Notably, he guided the team to its first-ever World Cup final on home soil during the 2023 T20 World Cup. Reflecting on his new role, Moreeng expressed his enthusiasm:
