Here’s The Reason Why Tim Seifert Is Not Playing Today IPL Match 15 Against Lucknow Super Giants

As expected, David Warner has been added to the playing eleven for Delhi Capitals as soon as he became available for selection. Warner has replaced Tim Seifert and is opening the batting for the Capitals along with Prithvi Shaw. For Lucknow Super Giants, Krishnappa Gowtham has replaced Manish Pandey.

David Warner’s inclusion in the Delhi Capitals was just a matter of time as the experienced opener was bought by the franchise in the auction for 6.25 Crores. Delhi Capitals were sure to use the opener during the new team formation. They needed a suited replacement for Shikhar Dhawan at the top. Warner returned to Delhi Capitals, his first IPL franchise. He can been in Delhi jersey after nine years and fans cannot keep calm. While speaking about Warner, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant said, “Three changes for us – Warner comes in for Seifert, Nortje in for Khaleel and Sarfaraz replaces Mandeep. He (Warner) is a big addition, such an experienced player and will add value for us.”

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Reacting to which, Pant said, “We’d have bowled first as well, because we haven’t played here before.”

KL Rahul, the LSG captain said, We’ll bowl first. Can’t really think of a reason why but it’s a fresh wicket. We’d want to bowl well upfront and restrict them. One change – Manish misses out and Gowtham comes in. Still early in the competition. Chat is about forgetting what happened, whether we win or lose, and putting our 100 percent going forward. Another opportunity to go out there and perform well as a team.”

Manish Pandey has had a forgettable IPL so far as he was visibly struggling with the bat. Pandey’s selection in the last match raised a few questions as well.
