As the West Indies is set to play their last group-stage match against Afghanistan, they made a few changes in the playing xi. The Caribbean batter Romario Shepherd is missing out on the game. Currently, he is set to welcome his second child and currently is with his family. 

This is a big change as Shepherd is a big strength of the West Indies. But Obed McCoy has come into the team for this match. He is also a great player. Skipper Rovman Powell talked about this change. After the toss, Afghan skipper Rashid Khan said, “We are gonna bowl. It’s just about making sure how we go about the run-chase. Also, with the oppsition, it is best to bowl first. We have to adjust quickly, we have seen a couple of games here, it’s going to be a bouncy wicket, most of the guys have played in the CPL and that will help. Toss is not a big advantage, it’s more about playing the right brand of cricket and taking good decisions.”
