Here’s The Reason Why David Warner Is Not Playing Today IPL Match 40 Against Rajasthan Royals

After back-to-back poor performances, finally David Warner has been dropped from Sunrisers Hyderabad for today’s match against Rajasthan Royals. Warner who was dropped from the captaincy in the first half of the IPL 2021, is now going to miss match as a player.

Expectedly, David Warner has been dropped from SRH line-up for today’s match against Rajasthan Royals. Mathematically, Hyderabad team is has the chance of qualifying and so the team is probably keen on giving a last try. Speaking on the same, Kane Williamson, the SRH captain said, “We would have had a hit as well. But we will look to adapt early with the ball and limit their total. Few young players are getting opportunities. Jason Roy is at the top for David Warner. Pandey, Kedar miss out.

Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma are playing. Sid Kaul replaces injured Khaleel. Today there is something fresh. There are a lot of changes. So it is important that the youngsters come in and stick to their strengths. As a unit we do want to be putting performances together. That is the focus for us even though we are sort of no longer in the comp. We want to play the kind of cricket we are proud of.”

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and decided to bat first. “We are looking to bat first. Team combo, atmosphere suits us to bat first. We learn from the loss in the last game. We are having fitness issues. Kartik Tyagi is out with injury. Morris and Lewis return in place of Miller and Shamsi.”

Teams:

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): Jason Roy, Wriddhiman Saha(w), Kane Williamson(c), Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma
