Amid the Indian batting order collapse, Hardik Pandya once again invites criticism after today’s innings against New Zealand. Pandya added 26 runs off 23 runs and was India’s second highest scorer. But the fact that he batted at a strike rate of 95.83 did not go well with the netizens.
India had a terrible collapse today against New Zealand as Kane Williamson asked Virat Kohli‘s team to bat first after winning the toss. India were reduced to 48/4 in 10.1 overs and Pandya joined Rishabh Pant. Pandya who had suffered from injury in last match had been a topic of discussion since India’s defeat against Pakistan last Sunday. Today yet again Kohli lost the toss and Indian batters looked out of track. There had been already a lot of talks over Pandya’s selection considering his inability to bowl. Still he managed to retain his place. But the inability to bowl of Hardik Pandya means Indian team is lacking the sixth bowler option while selecting Pandya. As an all-rounder, he has not been in great form with the bat and not been useful as a bowler too. So, once again after India’s terrible performance fans started criticising Pandya and made him viral on social media.
