Team India is having an exciting time in the T20 World Cup 2024. They entered into the Super Eight stage with an unbeaten tag and continued the steak by defeating Afghanistan in their first Super Eight stage match. Team India showcased their excellence against Afghanistan and won the match by 47 runs. But a fun moment of Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant has gone viral.

During Afghanistan’s struggling innings against India in the T20 World Cup Super Eight match in Barbados, Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant found a light-hearted moment amidst the game’s intensity. With Afghanistan losing their sixth wicket, Najibullah Zadran was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah, who was caught by Arshdeep Singh at that point. 

As the Indian team celebrated the crucial breakthrough, Pandya and Pant seized the opportunity. They quickly grabbed the Spider-Cam and decided to capture the moment with a spontaneous selfie in the middle of the field.  As the photo surfaced, it went viral and took the internet in storms. 

India’s Dominating Win Over Afghanistan:

After conquering the group stage, Team India entered into the Super Eight unbeaten and continued showing their domination. In their first Super Eight match, India met Afghanistan, While batting first, Rohit Sharma was dismissed early scoring just 8 runs in 13 balls. Virat Kohli scored 24 runs in 24 balls. But Suryakumar Yadav was amazing. He scored a crucial half-century and played a knock of 53 runs in 28 balls. Hardik Pandya added 32 runs. With those efforts, Team India set a target of 182 runs.

While chasing the totals, the Indian bowlers shattered Afghanistan’s batting lineup. Jasprit Bumrah  and Arshdeep Singh were on fire. Bumrah conceded only 7 runs and secured 3 wickets. On the other hand, Arshdeep Singh secured three wickets in 36 runs. Kuldeep Yadav, who played his first match of this edition against the Afghans, secured 2 wickets in 32 runs. Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja secured 1 wicket each. They didn’t let the opponent play any impactful knock. Afghanistan faced a defeat by 47 runs.
