Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh took a dig at Mahendra Singh Dhoni after CSK’s poor performance. After three consecutive defeats of the side, the captain came under scanner for his performance as well. Pathan also took Dhoni on target which was endorsed by Harbhajan Singh.

In the match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Dhoni tried his best to chase down the target for his team. But he was seen struggling with fitness. The age and the long break seemed to have an effect on India’s one of the successful captains. Pathan, after the match took to Twitter and wrote, “For some people, age is just a figure, while for others it is the reason for removing them from the team.”

Irfan Pathan played his last match for Indian national cricket team in 2012. During the announcement of his retirement Pathan had said , “Many people believe that I did not get support of my captain. But it was not in my hands. At the age of 27, I took the 300th wicket of my career and after that I could not play for the Indians. I do not have the answer to this matter.”
Bhajji supports Pathan
Harbhajan Singh went on to retweet Pathan’s post quoting, “Irfan Pathan, I agree with your talk 10,000,000 percent.” Harbhajan Singh has played under Dhoni even in Chennai Super Kings in the last two years and has been a mainstay for the side. This year Bhajji decided to skip IPL 2020 citing personal issue. Reportedly, Chennai Super Kings are set to end all kind of contractual relationship with him and Suresh Raina.
But even for Bhajji, this was not first time that he spoke on age issue. Earlier this year, he said, “My support was not given to him because he thought that I was old, while I was doing well in the IPL.”
