Despite Rajasthan’s poor season thus far in IPL, Dravid did not forget to remind all about RCB’s performance at home. RCB, despite a great season so far, have not won a single home game yet. Moreover, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, all former RCB players have delivered great performances in Bangalore against their old team.
Rahul Dravid in this content while speaking to media commented with a laugh, “Do we have an RCB player from last time? Play him in the XI straightaway!” Dravid was not just a former RCB player, he was also their first ever captain in the IPL.
No wonder all eyes will be on him. Meanwhile, Wanindu Hasaranga and Shimron Hetmyer, current RR players used to be part of RCB squad. Hasaranga was also their leading wicket-taker in 2022.
When asked about homecoming, Dravid denied of carrying any extra emotional baggage, “No, not at all, man. I don’t think about it like that, to be very honest. Just trying to play a good game of cricket.”
He also spoke about Rajasthan’s disheartening performance in IPL 2025. They missed winning their games against Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants by a Super Over and two runs respectively.
“We know we have to play well to be still alive in this tournament,” Dravid said. “I know we’ve lost a couple of close games coming into this, but we’ve played some good cricket as well. It’s one of those tournaments where a few balls going here or there and we might have been in a slightly different position, but you need to play well in those critical moments.”
