DPL 2024: Most Runs Updated After NDS vs CDK Match No. 22

Another cricket-filled day ended at the Delhi Premier League. The Indian fans enjoyed another doubleheader day. In the first match of the day, West Delhi Lions locked horns with South Delhi Superstarz. The second match witnessed a thrilling clash between North Delhi Strikers and Central Delhi Kings. Both matches witnessed some excellence by the batters. Let’s explore the changes in the most run list of this tournament. 

The West Delhi Lions Batters Snatched the game:

The 21st match of the Delhi Premier League witnessed an exciting clash between West Delhi Lions and South Delhi Superstarz. While batting first, West Delhi Lions gave a good start. But Ankit Kumar-II was dismissed after scoring 28 runs in 21 balls. After that, they lost some consecutive wickets. But Krish Yadav showcased his brilliance. He scored a century on a crucial point and played a knock of 106 runs only in 68 deliveries with 8 boundaries and 6 over-boundaries. With those efforts, they scored 178/5 in 20 overs. 

While chasing the target, South Delhi Superstarz fell short. They lost their first wicket in the second over. Saurabh Deswal was dismissed on a duck. Captain Priyansh Arya scored 24 runs in 9 balls. Ayush Badoni played a quick-fire knock of 30 runs in just 7 balls. Dhruv Singh scored 15 runs in 28 balls. Sumit Mathur was unbeaten on 23 runs in 21 balls. But those efforts were not enough to secure the win. West Delhi Riders won the match by 4 runs. 

North Delhi Kings Snatched Victory:

In the second match of the day, North Delhi Strikers faced Central Delhi Kings. While batting in the first innings, the North Delhi batters gave a decent start. Vaibhav Kandwal played a knock of 12 runs in 8 balls. Sarthan Ranjan added 29 runs in 18 runs. Yajas Sharma played a crucial knock of 23 runs in 6 balls. Yash Dabas added 14 runs. After that, their batting lineup collapsed. They scored 100 runs in 10 overs. 

The target was not tough to chase down. While batting in the second innings, Dhruv Kaushik scored 8 runs in 5 balls. Hiten Dalal scored 15 runs in 10 balls. Captain Jonty Sidhu was dismissed after playing a quickfire of 10 runs in 5 balls. Lakshay Thareja was unbeaten on 24 runs in 16 balls. North Delhi Kings triumphed over them by a thrilling 9-run win.
