Dhoni’s new avatar takes internet by storm

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was seen enjoying himself playing guitar with his teammates. Other CSK players Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Chahar, and Shivam Dube were seen vibing to the music played by MS Dhoni.

The video went viral within minutes and the fans got crazy. The 16-second video got more than 3.3 million views and over 5 lakh likes.

Dhoni will look to stamp his authority

Dhoni often called ‘Thala’ will finally return to his home ground MA Chidambaram Stadium after 3 long years. The supporters are thrilled to welcome the Men in Yellow back after they missed all of their home games in Chennai due to COVID-19. Super Kings will play their first home game against Lucknow Super Giants on April 3 after playing their first game on March 31 against Gujarat Giants at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

In this IPL, MS Dhoni will be the center of attention. There is a great likelihood that this would be the last IPL for captain cool. Dhoni was shown pushing himself in the CSK nets. He was playing superbly against the pacers while smashing massive sixes at spinners. The CSK brand has been significantly impacted by Dhoni. He has played in 234 games and amassed 4978 runs at a strike rate of 135.2. Dhoni has hit the fourth-most sixes (229) for CSK and is fourth overall on the record. Similar to his batting abilities, he will want to end the IPL on a good note.

Dhoni’s former teammate Matthew Hayden said that it is a very amazing moment to see MSD back on his home ground.

“It will be an amazing moment. I think last year, we were all under the impression that will MSD come back again. At the close of the IPL season, he made that huge comment to say that he will be back. Now, what that means for all that Yellow Army is that Chennai suddenly galvanized a tad around the superior leader, who has done it for so long. This will, most certainly, I think, be the close of his IPL career. So, those few games at the start are not only going to be key for the fans, but his performance is also going to be key for CSK this season,” Hayden was quoted as saying by NDTV Sports.
