Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the cricketers are trying to cope up with the stressed situation at home. The lockdown in India has been extended till May 3 and no one is allowed to go out of the house except an emergency. Few areas have been completely shut down as well to combat the increasing threat. Meanwhile, the IPL has been deferred until further notice and so clearly the cricketers have no on-field job right now. They are trying to do their bit for society as well as managing in this tough by getting involved in different activities.

Shikhar Dhawan while chatting with Shreyas Iyer on Instagram told that he is trying to play the flute and trying to get better with more practice. “Music gives you peace and everybody should try to learn how to play a musical instrument now, especially because we have so much time to spend at home due to the lockdown.” He went on to give a demo by playing the flute during the chat on Iyer’s request.

Steyn scares Dhawan

In the same interaction, Dhawan also shared a lot of things about his life and career. He also revealed that Dale Steyn was the most difficult bowler to face so far in his career apart from off-spinners on turning tracks. He also informed that his winning hundred against Australia in the World Cup 2019 gave him the most satisfaction and so it was his most special knock.

Shikhar Dhawan scored a stunning 117 off just 109 balls against Australians at the Oval on June 10 and helped India win the match by 36 runs. In fact, that turned out to be his last appearance in the tournament as he was ruled out of the World Cup after that following a thumb injury.
