Chris Gayle Calls Former Colleague Worse Than Coronavirus

Chris Gayle took a dig at his former West Indian teammate Ramnaresh Sarwan and called him ‘snake’ in a recently released video message. Gayle’s outrage was due to Sarwan’s alleged role in dropping Gayle from Jamaica Tallawahs.

Gayle on Sarwan

Jamaica Tallawahs decided to skip Gayle after he re-joined the franchise last season. In 2020 CPL, Gayle will be representing St Lucia Zouks and play under the captaincy of Darren Sammy and coaching of Andy Flower. In a three-part video message on his YouTube channel Gayle claimed former West Indian skipper Ramnaresh Sarwan and said, “Sarwan, you are worse than the coronavirus right now.”

He went on to add, “What transpired with the Tallahwahs, you had a big part to play. Sarwan, you were the one who gave a big speech at my birthday party about how far we have come. Sarwan, you are a snake. You know, you are not the most loved person in the Caribbean. You are so vindictive, you are still immature, you are back-stabbing. When are you planning to change?”

Gayle to deal with all

Gayle went on to share his emotions further and said that people are often demoralized by their close ones. “That goes to show your own people undermine you. Doesn’t matter how far you and they are coming from, they still undermine you.”

The Universe Boss (that’s what Gayle likes to call himself) spoke about his illustrated career and reminded all how he is still active although all of his colleagues retired. The strong man mentioned that he would deal with all whenever needed. “Out of that era – 1996 – I’m the only one active, playing. Everyone else retired. I’m the last man standing within that era…and I’m still going strong. So it kind of hurt them to see Chris Gayle still playing and still being successful. I’m talking about past and present players. But I’m dealing with you Sarwan. I’ll deal (with the others) whenever that time comes.”
