Dhoni’s comeback in IPL 2020
Mahendra Singh Dhoni was last seen donning Indian cricket team’s jersey in World Cup 2019. In the semi-final match against New Zealand, his Dhoni played last for India, and his batting style was much criticized. India lost the match and the dream of winning the trophy was finished. Since then Dhoni has not played any professional cricket. There have been talks about his retirement with no concrete news. Even his wife, Sakshi Dhoni had to rubbish Dhoni’s retirement claims by social media. The man himself even did not speak anything on this in this duration.
But the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League was about to see a grand comeback of Dhoni. He even joined the team to start practice in the beginning of March. But in the wake of the COVID-19, the league first got delayed and then got postponed. There was a chance of cancellation of the league as well. According to the current update, there is still a chance of the Indian cricket board hosting IPL 2020 which means Dhoni will be make comeback to professional cricket later this year.
Pandya’s wish for ‘Bittu’
Amid all these one of the best finishers of cricket turned 30. The wishes started pouring in as soon as the clock touched 12. Hardik Pandya was among one of the foremost cricketers to wish Dhoni on social media. Pandya shares a special bond with Dhoni and his family. Pandya was framed with Dhoni’s daughter number of times as well. He posted a few adorable pictures of Dhoni and wished India’s forever ‘captain cool’.
Pandya called Dhoni Bittu and wrote, “Happy birthday to my Bittu from your Chittu 🤗 My friend who has taught me to be a better human being and stood by me in bad times @msdhoni 😘❤️ #HappyBirthdayDhoni”.
