“Bowling Makes It Absolutely Exceptional”, Says Aakash Chopra While Heaping Praise On Team India’s Bowling Unit

Team India has been truly exceptional in its 2023 Cricket World Cup campaign. It emerged at the top of the rankings table after the conclusion of the League Stage having won all the nine out of nine matches in a row. Such an achievement by the Men in Blue has been obtained for the first time in the history of the World Cup.

The Men in Blue are all set to lock horns against New Zealand, its fellow Semi-final qualifiers to play the big game of semifinals on November 15 at the Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata. After a gap of 12 years, team India will be playing a semi-final World Cup match on its home soil, this feeling is nostalgic for all the Indian fans out there.

All hail to the bowling unit!

If we take a look at team India’s performance throughout the ongoing World Cup, there is no doubt that the simultaneous wins came from the extraordinary contributions of the Indian bowlers. The bowling unit has been phenomenal with its wicket taking abilities. The fact that team India bowled out its opponent teams in seven out of the nine matches is just delusional.

Former cricketer and Youtuber Aakash Chopra recently heaped praise on India’s bowling unit on his YouTube channel remarking “India’s biggest strength- I will say the bowling, although all three parts are playing their roles properly. However, I feel we are doing the best job in bowling. Batters are fine, they are doing well, they scored 400+ runs in the last match as well and we have seen them score 350+ runs also.”

“It’s just the Bowling”

The former cricketer turned commentator reckoned that people always come on India’s batting as being truly exceptional but this time it is the other way. “However, it’s the bowling. Bowling makes it absolutely exceptional. Suddenly you feel all boxes are ticked. India is a batting country, so we celebrate the batting, we produce very good batters as well, but the bowlers have combined the five fingers to make a fist this time.”
