India’s first Test against South Africa at Vizag show a dream debut of Rohit Sharma as a Test opener. But there was at least one moment during the match that the Mumbai batsman would not like to be reminded of further.

What happened?

Rohit Sharma smashed another century in the second innings of India and led India to pile up a good enough target for the Proteas. But an act by Rohit reminded everyone of Indian skipper Virat Kohli. During their partnership, Rohit called Pujara for a quick single which Cheteshwar Pujara did not oblige. An upset Rohit used an expletive in Hindi and expressed his frustration. The conversation got recorded in the stump mic and did not go unnoticed by fans watching the match closely. The clip immediately went viral and people started creating memes in no time. Amid all these the incident caught the attention of the England all-rounder Ben Stokes as well. Stokes took to his Twitter account and write, “This time it’s Rohit not Virat….if you know you know “.

Ben Stokes reacts

His reaction clearly showed how he is also well aware of Virat Kohli habit of using expletives quite often on the field. Moreover, the word used by Rohit is often used by the captain and the social media trolls it by saying Kohli taking the name of “Ben Stokes”. The England star of World Cup 2019 is very much aware of the same and hence went on to tweet the above-mentioned line after Rohit’s act.

Although Stokes this time made fun of it, in June this year, he shared his sentiments on the same. He wrote, in a reply to a video, “I may delete Twitter just so I don’t have to see another tweet reading, I may delete Twitter just so I don’t have to see another tweet reading “He’s saying Ben Stokes”(when he’s clearly not) in reply to a video of Virat saying you know what???? it was funny the first 100,000 times.”
