BCCI’s CAC Head Madan Lal Supports Aggressive Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli’s temper on the field may have some critics, but he has got the back of the head of BCCI’s CAC Madan Lal. The new head of CAC thinks that he is the captain Indian team needs.

Madan Lal supports aggressive Kohli

The India captain is infamous for his attitude on the field. He has been criticised for this a number of times by experts and fans. His aggressive attitude often sends the wrong message and hence he is often suggested to work on his temper. In fact, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is often considered to be a good example for Virat Kohli if he needs to practice calmness on and off the field.

During India’s tour of New Zealand, he was seen sending a fiery send-off to Kane Williamson, the Kiwi captain in the second and final Test. This did not go well with all. Moreover, it was surprising to see Kohli getting involved with Willaimson in such a manner as both share a great bonding.

Amid a lot of voices criticising his act, Kohli has got support from a very important person at the BCCI. The new head of Cricket Advisory Committee, Madan Lal said, “I don’t understand why people in India are asking him to mellow down. First everyone wanted a very aggressive captain and now you want Kohli to stop his aggressive streak. I love the way he is on the field. Earlier, people used to say that Indians are not aggressive; now that we’ve become aggressive people question that and ask why we are so aggressive.”

India need Kohli

Former all-rounder further added that Indian team need an aggressive captain like Kohli “I enjoy Kohli’s aggression; we need a captain like him.” Madan Lal also spoke about Kohli’s poor form. But he did not forget to mention that Kohli is still the best cricketer of the world during his interaction with the Times of India.

“He was out of form. You can say it was a loss of confidence. That (the New Zealand tour) doesn’t take anything away from him. He is still the world’s best player. At times, technical flaws come in and you then try harder and harder but still you don’t come out of it. It happens to the best of players.”
