BCCI names 4 additional pacers to travel as net bowlers for the WTC final

The BCCI announced the Indian team for the World Test Championship final earlier on Tuesday morning. The team featured the return of Ajinkya Rahane and KL Rahul, both of whom seem to have regained their form during the IPL 2023. However, as per the latest reports, it has been learned that the BCCI has named 4 additional players in the team apart from the usual 15 that will travel to London for the finale.

4 pacers to travel with the Indian team

According to recent reports from PTI, it has been revealed that Mukesh Kumar, Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen, and Navdeep Saini are expected to accompany the Indian team as net bowlers for the ICC World Test Championship Final. These players, who are currently participating in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, have previously been part of the net bowler groups for various major tournaments.

Mukesh Kumar, Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen, and Navdeep Saini are all talented pacers, who have been making waves in the domestic circuit with their impressive performances. Their inclusion in the net bowler group for the World Test Championship Final will definitely strengthen India’s fast bowling line-up. It will also help the Indian batters prepare well against pacers since the conditions in England are expected to be favoring the pacers.

The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, is set to face off against Australia in the final of the upcoming ICC World Test Championship. The summit clash is scheduled to take place at The Oval in England from June 7th to 11th, 2023. This high-stakes encounter is expected to be a fiercely contested battle between two of the best Test teams in the world. The selection of this squad has been made after careful consideration by the Indian team management and the BCCI selectors. The team will be looking to put up a strong performance in the final and emerge victorious in this historic clash.
