Bangladesh Cricket Board Requests Government for a Security Consultant for Pakistan Tour

In recent times, Pakistan cricket has been going through a lot. Before arranging the Champions Trophy 2025, they are facing questions on their security concern. A lot of teams are raising questions about this. Bangladesh is the newest addition to this list. Bangladesh Cricket Board officials have asked the government to assign a security consultant for their upcoming tour of Pakistan to ensure safety and effective risk management.

BCB’s Concern Over Security in Pakistan Tour:

Bangladesh is all set to arrive in Pakistan on August 17 for a two-match Test series, part of the ICC Test Championship, to be held in Rawalpindi and Karachi. The first Test starts on August 21. The second Test match begins on August 30. Due to Pakistan’s political climate and past issues, traveling to the country for international teams has always been viewed as risky.

On this matter, BCB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus said, “Look providing safety is up to them (Pakistan) and we go there because they assure us to provide state-level security and after they assured us about it, the tour was fixed.”

Later he added, “I guess you have seen in the Asia Cup that the Bangladesh team traveled to Pakistan and they provided us state-level security and we agreed to go on this tour because they ensured us of that.”
