A group of Indian fans in Ahmedabad was seen carrying a 500-foot-long tricolor along with a mini replica of the World Cup trophy ahead of the final match. That gesture stole the limelight.

Team India reached the final by dominating the other teams in this tournament. In the group stage, they were unbeaten. They registered some excellent wins in the group stage. They defeated their all-time rival, Pakistan by 7 wickets. They hammered Sri Lanka with a massive 302-run win. Against South Africa, they registered a 243-run win. Being unbeaten, they reached the semifinal. In that match, they defeated the Kiwis by 70 runs and snatched the win.
All the players are in dream form. Virat Kohli completed the 50th hundred in the semifinal stage. Shreyas Iyer scored a quickfire century against the Kiwis. In the same match, Mohammad Shami took 7 wickets in 57 runs. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma are also in great form. All other bowlers are taking wickets in crucial times.
