The most awaited day is almost here. The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is just a night away. Fans have waited for four years to see the new world champion. India and Australia will be locking horns at the big stage on November 19. India completed the group stage and the semifinal stage was unbeaten, the team already reached Ahmedabad to achieve the desired goal. Before the final day, a unique gesture by a group of Indian fans caught the attention.
The unique Gesture:
In India, cricket has a separate fanbase. Indians treat the game as a part of their lives. India last time won the World Cup in 2011 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. After that Team India didn’t reach any World Cup final. This time, India is in excellent form. Till the semifinal, India haven’t faced any defeats. They qualified for the final being unbeaten.
Team India already reached Ahmedabad ahead of the big day. Indian fans across the globe are extremely excited. They also started traveling to Ahmedabad. A group of Indian fans in Ahmedabad was seen carrying a 500-foot-long tricolor along with a mini replica of the World Cup trophy ahead of the final match. That gesture stole the limelight.
Team India’s Form and World Cup Dream:
Team India reached the final by dominating the other teams in this tournament. In the group stage, they were unbeaten. They registered some excellent wins in the group stage. They defeated their all-time rival, Pakistan by 7 wickets. They hammered Sri Lanka with a massive 302-run win. Against South Africa, they registered a 243-run win. Being unbeaten, they reached the semifinal. In that match, they defeated the Kiwis by 70 runs and snatched the win.
All the players are in dream form. Virat Kohli completed the 50th hundred in the semifinal stage. Shreyas Iyer scored a quickfire century against the Kiwis. In the same match, Mohammad Shami took 7 wickets in 57 runs. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma are also in great form. All other bowlers are taking wickets in crucial times. Skipper Rohit Sharma is doing amazing captaincy. India is ruling the tournament. This time the opponent is Australia. Both teams met in the 2003 World Cup final. But in that match, Australia snatched the match and won the title. This time India will be trying hard to end the tournament being champions.
