The upcoming series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is, scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 6. Bangladesh’s team is set to arrive in Greater Noida via New Delhi on July 22, allowing for a couple of days of training before their first ODI. Following each ODI match, there will be a one-day break to prepare for the next encounter.

The T20I series, on the other hand, will be played under lights starting from August 2, adding to the excitement under the evening skies. Both teams are gearing up for a competitive series, looking to showcase their talents and secure victories in the limited-overs format.

The CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board Naseeb Khan said, “We have closely worked with the BCCI to resume our hosting agreement, making this series possible after a long break. The BCCI has allotted us two grounds – one in Kanpur and the other in Greater Noida. Since we have played at Greater Noida in the past, we decided to host the series against Bangladesh there.”

ACB officials are considering other grounds in India, but they have currently finalized contracts with the BCCI for facilities in Greater Noida and Kanpur. These venues will host Afghanistan’s upcoming matches against Bangladesh. The decision highlights their suitability, ensuring suitable conditions for international cricket. Focus remains on preparing these locations to provide optimal settings for players and fans during the scheduled series. He further added, “Moving forward, the ACB plans to host more events at various grounds across India, including Greater Noida.”
