Afghan rookie Naveen Ul Haq pushes Kohli’s hand, mocks Kohli during the post match handshakes; Kohli gives him back

The match between Royal Challengers and Lucknow Super Giants was quite an intense one. Royal Challengers Bangalore made a mockery of Lucknow Super Giants as the home team were not able to chase 127 runs in their 20 overs. Lucknow meekly gave up losing wickets in clumps as they eventually lost the match by 18 runs.

After the match was over, there were handshakes among the players. After the handshakes, RCB superstar Virat Kohli was having a conversation with LSG opener Kyle Mayers. Gautam Gambhir, who is a sore loser, tried to take away Mayers from Virat Kohli refraining him to chat with the Indian Maestro. Thus there was a heated arguement between Kohli and Gambhir. But even before that, there took another arguement during the post match handshakes.

During the 17th over of the chase, Naveen and Virat were involved in an animated conversation. Amit Mishra and the umpire had to intervene. This escalated even after the match was over.

During the handshakes, Afghan rookie Naveen Ul-Haq unnecessarily said something to Kohli when Kohli was walking off silently. Naveen pushed Kohli’s hand and said something to him. Kohli didn’t hold back and gave it to the Afghan youngster. It was solely Naveen’s fault as the RCB batter was quietly heading towards the dugout.

KL Rahul later had a separate conversation with Kohli and tried to calm him. Virat was having an animated chat with the LSG skipper.

Many shades of Kohli

Maxwell had struck in his first over. He had fired the delivery wide and hadn’t offered too much pace on it. Krunal had come shuffling down the track and had looked for an inside-out loft. He had just relied on timing and hadn’t bothered to exert any power on that. He had chipped it off the bottom half of the bat and Kohli had completed a fine catch running back and to his right at long-off. After taking the catch, Virat was chuffed to bits. He looked at the Lucknow crowd and asked them to shut up signaling them with his finger. He then blew a kiss to someone in the crowd and let out a huge roar.

He followed this catch with another stunner to dismiss Ayush Badoni. Badoni, who came to open in place of the injured KL Rahul, creamed the cover drive over Kohli’s head. But the former RCB captain leaped in the air to take another blinder. He blew a kiss yet another time and asked the crowd to cheer for RCB. After so many days, Virat Kohli is looking pumped and up for a challenge.
