 The Royal Challengers Bengaluru initiated the bidding, with the Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants joining in.
Eventually, the Lucknow Super Giants secured Samad’s services for INR 4.20 crore, showcasing their confidence in his big-hitting abilities.
He is expected to strengthen their middle order and provide finishing firepower.
Lucknow Super ‘Giant’ Purchase
In a groundbreaking move, the Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) signed Rishabh Pant for a record INR 27 crores at the IPL 2025 mega auction.Â
This deal surpasses the previous record of INR 26.75 crores, set by Punjab Kings for Shreyas Iyer.
LSG aggressively entered the bidding war, initially bidding INR 20.75 crores, but increased their offer after Delhi Capitals considered using their Right To Match (RTM) option. LSG’s final bid proved too high for Delhi to match.
