England Cricket Team is Likely to be Jet Off to Abu Dhabi Before Third Test in Rajkot

After receiving a setback in the first Test match against England, Team India bounced back in the second Test match. After losing the first match by 28 runs, they registered a win of 106 runs and leveled up the series by 1-1. In the second Test, India performed exceptionally well and won the match. But as per the reports, the England team has decided not to stay in India for the next few days, opting to travel back to Abu Dhabi. They plan to return to India just a few days before the commencement of the third Test in Rajkot. 

India’s Excellent Win:

India faced an early setback, losing the first Test by 28 runs, fueling their determination for redemption in the second Test. Upon winning the toss, they chose to bat, and Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered a stellar double-ton in the first innings, amassing 209 runs off 290 balls. England, in their first innings, succumbed to the brilliance of Jasprit Bumrah, who claimed 6 wickets.

Shubman Gill, battling a dip in form, found his rhythm in the second innings. As early wickets fell, Gill stood resilient, crafting a long-awaited century with 104 runs from 147 balls, featuring 11 boundaries and 2 sixes. In the final innings, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah showcased their prowess, each securing three wickets. Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel contributed with one wicket each. Bumrah ended the match by taking 9 wickets. He registered a spell of 9-91. That is the best figure by an Indian pacer against England at home. India triumphed by 106 runs, leveling the series at 1-1.

Interesting Decision:

According to reports, England is set to return to Abu Dhabi for a brief period after the conclusion of the second Test in Vizag. The visiting team opted not to stay in India following the four-day match. England had previously held a practice camp in Abu Dhabi before the commencement of the five-match series in India, arriving just three days before the first game in Hyderabad. This decision appears to provide players with a break from action, allowing them to relax before their return for the third Test in Rajkot.

After winning the second Test match, Team India leveled up the series. The third Test match is scheduled to happen on February 15 in Rajkot. Due to injury, KL Rahul missed the second Test and hoping to be back in the third Test. On the other hand, Virat Kohli missed the first two Tests due to family issues. Everyone is hoping for his comeback in the third Test match. Team India leveled up the series to 1-1 by the 106-run win. In the next match, they will try hard to take the lead.
