A Pakistani fan explains who Virat Kohli is

Virat Kohli, a cricketer that has taken the world by storm with his scintillating batting style. The Indian skipper is widely regarded as the best batsman of the modern era. Being the top ranked batsman in the ODIs and T20Is and amongst the top 10 in the Test rankings, he is the face of not only Indian cricket but the game overall.

He is not an icon only in India but the people all over the world admire him. Even though Virat Kohli has played some of his finest knocks against Pakistan yet the fans in the neighboring country are in awe of him. A recent example of that occurred on the social media website Twitter.

Kohli had posted an image on Twitter on September 5, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day in India. He was seen sitting in front of a wall that had the names of some of the legendary cricketers from the past and the present era. The 28-year-old showed his gratitude to those legends with a message “Thanks for showing how it’s done”.

He wrote along with the image, “To all the teachers around the world and especially to the ones in the Cricket World. #HappyTeachersDay”.

The names on the background included cricketers from Pakistan as well. Imran Khan, Inzamam Ul Haq and Javed Miandad were a part of Kohli’s list. The tweet became quite popular in Pakistan as well.

But a lady in Pakistan did not know who Kohli was and inquired a Twitter user about him. She wrote,”If U Don’t Mind Plzz Could You Tell Me The Name Of This Gentleman in The Post?”

That person replied with a grand introduction of the right-handed batsman. He wrote, “He is virat kohli and he’s Indian Cricket team captain. Right now he is the greatest batsman and behind him name of all renowned cricketers”.
